Motion City Soundtrack | Don't Call it A Comeback Tour in New York

It’s been almost four years since Motion City Soundtrack’s “So Long, Farewell” tour… and here I am writing about their newest tour. Their appropriately tagged #dontcallitacomeback tour (because… accurate, the band has stated they don’t even know what the future holds) was announced in June 2019 after teasing fans on their social media and my nostalgic emo heart was damn glad to see them perform at The Paramount in Huntington, NY.

MCS has been comprised of the same line-up since the early 2000’s and their breakout album, Commit This to Memory, which was released in 2005. It was from this album that they pulled their two opening songs, “Attractive Today” and “Everything is Alright.” They would continue to span through their first four albums, treating fans to their older and more cherished songs from I Am the Movie (2003), Commit This to Memory, Even if It Kills Me (2007) and My Dinosaur Life (2010).

With nearly every date sold out, and the pure energy felt throughout the show, I think it’s safe to say that Motion City Soundtrack won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.

Attracitve Today / Everything is Alright / Perfect Teeth / Disappear / It Had to Be You / When “You’re” Around / Her Words Destroyed My Planet / A Lifeless Ordinary (Need a Little Help) / Last Night / My Favorite Accident / Make Out Kids / Time Turned Fragile / Point of Extinction / Capital H / This Is for Real / Even If it Kills Me / Hold Me Down // Encore: L.G. FUAD / The Future Freaks Me Out
