Up and coming band from Richmond, Virginia Broadside has taken the world by storm. Being a huge fan on the band myself, I was fortunate enough to have seen them play live a few times including back in 2016 when they toured on The Vans Warped Tour.
I was so grateful to see these boys perform again at The Beacham on Monday, February 12, 2018. I can see the difference and the growth they have experienced within the two years of me seeing them. They have such a welcoming and warm vibe when they step on the stage.
Though don’t let that warm vibe fool you, they have so much energy when they play, you can see how much their songs and lyrics mean to them with every note they play and as they sing with smiles on their faces. Plus, it seems front man, Oliver Baxter, has so killer moves as he dances his way across the stage.
Again, seeing them a few times before this show, I can say that every time they play “Damaged Kids,” I choke back tears because of how powerful those lyrics are. On the flip side, I love racing and singing along to “Paradise,” the second single released off their second studio album Paradise. You can check out Broadside on tour with Silverstein and Tonight Alive on the Get Free Tour. Don’t forget to check out Paradise on iTunes and Spotify.
