Since 2014, Ghost has been making its way to South Florida approximately every two years. Our first ritual took place at Revolution Live in Fort Lauderdale back in 2014 on the Year Zero tour. This night was many fans first introduction to this mystery-shrouded Swedish band, and the hidden identities of its members. A fully packed house at Revolution sparked a wave through the Florida fanbase, as roses were tossed to female fans by frontman Papa Emeritus at the end of the night.
Nearly two years later we saw Ghost return on the Popestar tour in late 2016 in support of their Meliora album. With a growing audience Popestar found Ghost a new home at The Fillmore in Miami Beach. A gorgeous intricate theater donned with a wide open stage only amplified the explosiveness of the band live. Cathedral windows placed behind the band and some well placed fogged had the fans in a frenzy during the fifteen song set.
Papa Emeritus oozed sexuality across the Fillmore stage as wicked nuns provided communion, and a few special ladies in the front were swept away by Papa himself.
And now just over two years exactly (give about two weeks), Ghost returns once again this time for A Pale Tour Named Death to Fillmore Miami Beach on Saturday November 24th. Papa Emeritus has been booted and we are now in the times of Cardinal Copia. Since Cardinal Copia has usurped the frontman status of Ghost we have been blessed with the latest album Prequelle along with two singles "Rats" and "Dance Macabre."
We are thrilled to see how this latest installment of the Ghost story translates live and there is no better place to experience it than at the historic Jackie Gleason Theater. Ghost fans from all of Florida are awaiting in anticipation for the third official South Florida Ritual, which has become a biennial event for the town. And with the show being on a Saturday night, we know this is setting up to be the biggest and best ritual South Florida has seen yet.
Tickets are still available, but are bound to sell out prior to the show, so confirm your place at the ritual before it's too late! Because if you have Ghost (in Miami), then you have everything.
