Electro-alternative rock band OTHER AMERICANS (featuring members of The Architects, The Gadjits, Radar State, and Late Night Callers) have premiered the video for their debut single “Murdering Crows” via Spill Magazine.

It is the lead single from their self-titled debut release which will be released independently on June 29, 2018.  Kicking off the project with a bang, Other Americans will be supporting Meg Myers' sold out show on June 11th at Kansas City's The Riot Room. In addition, the band will be playing Middle Of The Map Festival June 30th in Kansas City, MO.

“For two years, Other Americans has been a story I tell my friends without being able to offer any proof – a demo, a flyer –  that we’ve ever played a note together. ‘Murdering Crows’ was the turning-point song when we were making the EP where I knew we were on to something special.” says guitarist Brandon Phillips.

Emulating the aesthetic of a damaged VHS tape with lots of colorful and abrasive edits of both the band performing and various washed-out scenery shots of clouds and fire, the kaleidoscopic video is a perfect fit for the chaotic yet controlled electronica vibe that they ooze flawlessly.    Other Americans' self-titled debut was recorded at  Element Recording and Mastering in Kansas City, Missouri and was produced by Brandon Phillips. The “Murdering Crows” video was directed and produced by local artist and psychedelic truth-seeker, Adrian Halpern. “From the moment we got that song right, the path to finishing the EP and claiming a sound of our own just became illuminated," concludes Brandon. "For me personally, it’s especially cool that this song and video are the first things we bring into the world as a band."
