Weezer to Headline 2018's Maha Music Festival

The tenth annual Maha Music Festival will take place Friday, August 17 from 5 PM to midnight and Saturday, August 18 from noon to midnight at Stinson Park in Aksarben Village. The event features 16 live musical acts performing on two stages. Maha is excited to welcome American rock band Weezer as this year’s headliner.

Joining Weezer are singer/songwriter Father John Misty and rock band TV On The Radio. The lineup also features indie rock duo The Kills and pop duo Tune-Yards, along with ZZ Ward, Benjamin Booker, Hurray for the Riff Raff, Ravyn Lenae, Hop Along, and U.S. Girls. Local acts State Disco, Clarence Tilton, Mesonjixx, David Nance Band, and The Dilla Kids round out the lineup.

Early Bird passes are on sale now for a limited time. Two-day general admission passes are $90 and VIP packages are $290. The Early Bird Big Omaha conference pass, which includes both days of the festival for a limited time, is $250. Later this spring, prices will increase and more pass options will be added. Full details and passes are available at MahaMusicFestival.com.

The Big Omaha conference, which also began in 2009, joined with Maha earlier this year. It will be held at Omaha Design Center, 1502 Cuming Street, on Friday, August 17 from 8 AM to 5 PM. Details on the official opening party on August 16 will be released later this spring, along with the speaker lineup and schedule. Conference programming will be geared toward entrepreneurs at all levels and stages including founders, owners, and idea makers.

Maha volunteers have powered the event from the start. This year, Maha and Big Omaha are seeking nearly 700 volunteers and providing free admittance in exchange for working a shift. Public registration for volunteers opens April 28 at MahaMusicFestival.com. Click here to visit the website.
